An ad from the Frankel era--"Lost Cinemas" fans will recall that Abe Frankel and Abe Blank also owned and operated a number of early movie theatres in the Des Moines area.
Wow. I had never seen this one. Thanks for the memories. My mother worked for "Bankers Life" that later became Principal. Every year they'd have Banker's Life day and the park would close to the general public. Free food and ride tickets to everyone. Wish I could find a picture.
For the last 11 years, I've designed DVD menus and game pieces--and animated motion comics as well-- for companies such as Deluxe Digital and Technicolor Interactive; otherwise, I do my own designs and animations, and compose and record my own musical compositions. I have kept a journal since 1980. And the family and I still get down to the beach now and then (usually Venice).
